Welcome to the Middle School Counseling Department

The mission of Palmyra-Macedon Middle School's comprehensive school counseling program is to provide all students of Palmyra-Macedon Middle School, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, or socioeconomic status, with innovative and practical academic experiences.  Student academic, career, and personal/social development is addressed through individual planning, classroom guidance, responsive services, and consultation (ASCA, 2005).  We will advocate for all students of Palmyra-Macedon Middle School to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach his or her potential.  The members of the counseling department collaborate with administrators, faculty, staff, and parents to create a system of support for academic achievement for the students of Palmyra-Macedon Middle School.

Where to find us?


The middle school counseling office is located in the main office.  The counseling office is open from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

To contact a counselor or psychologist by phone, please call Beth Maldonadocounseling office secretary, at (315) 597-3451. To request a parent/teacher conference, please contact your child’s counselor. To request homework, you should call or e-mail Beth Maldonado ( Homework requests should be made before 10 A.M. and should only be made if your child has missed two consecutive days of school.
